At 3:30 a.m., beneath a sky just beginning to reveal the Milky Way, Mesa Arch felt less like a destination and more like a discovery.
For a brief moment, the curve of the earth and the curve of the galaxy mirrored one another—two ancient forms, shaped worlds apart, and quietly aligned.
I pressed the shutter gently.
